Signature Plants Showcase
Showcasing our plants in real-world projects
Signature Plants is growing native and exotic plant species for a wide range of ecological restoration and commercial landscaping projects. From native regeneration projects by government agencies, to residential developments for some of New Zealand’s largest development companies, right down to schools and commercial landscaping companies. Our plants can be found right across the city and contributing to a greener Auckland.
Providing free plants for Park(ing) Day 2019, Auckland
Signature Plants have again donated and loaned all of the plants used in the Tyler Street Park(ing) Day 2019 installation. Park(ing) Day is now held each year in cities across the globe.
Maiden voyage for Signature Plants’ new curtainsider
Signature Plants hits the road with a brand Hino 500 Series curtainsider. Its maiden voyage departed our Oratia nursery carrying a consignment of 4000 Apodasmia similis, a native wetland species.
We’ve grown plants for Millwater Estate wetland areas
Millwater wetlands were planted circa 2012. Now well established, it’s as if they’ve always been there. This is an excellent example of what wetland regeneration looks like within urban development.
Our plants are in Long Bay Subdivision
What native regeneration and wetland planting looks like eight years on: this is what we’re aiming for when we say native regeneration and wetland development. As a means to reduce our collective environmental impact, Auckland’s new residential developments are turning their stormwater ponds into wetland areas.
