Signature Plants has hit the road with a brand Hino 500 Series curtainsider, “SIGN01”. It replaces our ageing workhorse – an ex-furniture truck dating back to the turn of the century. The new curtainsider and brings state of the art technology. The significantly larger capacity is a massive bonus for Signature Plants.
SIGN01’s maiden voyage departed our Oratia nursery bound for The Landing – Auckland Airport’s leading business district. The consignment was 4000 Apodasmia similis (a.k.a. jointed wire rush or oioi), a native wetland species. These plants were delivered to Dempsey Wood who is the civil works contractor at The Landing.
Signature Plants chose the Hino 500 series due to its focus on fuel-efficiency and low emissions, yet it still delivers powerful performance and comfort. A quality transport unit, this truck has revolutionised how we’re delivering our plants to our Auckland clients.
